The Father’s mission of compassion

“The grace the power and the wisdom of the most high God is given to you to carry your homes with the strength of an eagle. This very day you shall receive favour.” (Prophetic word from Pastor John Anosike for Father’s day 2017)

The heart of a shepherd breaks for His sheep. He leads them to the pastures daily –  he nurtures and tends them – he leads them besides still waters – his heart is  drawn to the broken and wounded – those who go astray – those ailing. The helpless and the needy – the blind. Father’s day reminds us that compassion – not judgement stirred God to arise – venture on a mission to wage war for His beloved. He came as “The Lion of Judah” roaring – Jehovah El – Qanna – The Lord who is jealous for you – son – daughter!

He will summon heavenly hosts for you! He will wage a war against kings for you! That’s the heart of the Father.

The last – possibly the greatest sermons Jesus held was when he had a one on one – heart to heart with Peter and it went like this;

Jesus asked a third time, “Simon son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was deeply hurt that Jesus had asked him a third time, “Do you love Me?” “Lord, You know all things; he replied, “You know I love You.” Jesus said to him,“Feed My sheep.” This was now the third time Jesus appeared to the disciples after He was raised from the dead. When they had finished eating, Jesus asked Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you love Me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” He answered, “You know I love You.” Jesus replied, “Feed My lambs.” Jesus asked a second time, “Simon son of John, do you love Me?” “Yes, Lord,” he answered, “You know I love You.” Jesus told him, “Shepherd My sheep.…” (John 21:15-17)

As a father being celebrated on “Father’s day” stand firm! Roar for your family – roar for your flock – for those under your care. As the world celebrates all fathers, Spirit Revelation Church celebrates Papa John – a man with the heart of the Father – whose mandate is to bring Sons home – to the bosom of the Father – where they belong.
